BESSEY, William “Bill”

Bill passed away after a lengthy illness on August 25, 2018 at 87 years of age. He was predeceased by his parents Leonard and Maggie (nee Dixon); three brothers George, Kenneth, Lloyd and one sister Velma Whiteside. Bill is survived by his wife Coby and her family; his children Lynn (Glen), Stephen, Doug (Tammie), Florence (Wayne) and one grandson, Jason. Bill was, in simple terms, a furrier, but he was so much more than that. He was an artist, creating works of art with furs and leathers for over 50 years. He was also a craftsman, working in wood, building tables and other furniture. He loved to fish with the ‘boys’ and to host large family dinners. He was a good man, a great friend, a loving husband, a great dad, step dad, grandfather and Opa, and he will be missed! Special thanks to the staff at Regina Wascana Grace Hospice for the wonderful, compassionate care they gave him during his stay. To honor Bill’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Regina Wascana Grace Hospice, 50 Angus Rd., Regina, SK S4R 8P6.
