Obituary of Madeline Catherine Johnson
Madeline passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at the age of 89 years. She was born August 24, 1930 in Grayson, SK, and grew up on a farm near Neudorf. She was predeceased by husband Sigurd (1985); daughter Deirdre Delphine; three sons in infancy; brother Harry; sisters Viola, Maxine, and Sylvia; and several brothers and sisters in law. Madeline is survived by son, Leonard; daughter, Anita (Wayne) Schlechter; and grandson, Jade. As a teenager she moved to Cranbrook, BC, met her husband Sigurd, one of five Johnson boys. She attended dances where Sig played guitar with his band, “The Wranglers.” She harmonized with Sig at many parties and placed second in a dance contest. Together they owned Sig’s Guitar Studio on 13th Avenue, Regina SK. (guitar sales, custom built guitars, music lessons, and instrument repair). Madeline was very proud of her family of musicians including son, daughter, son-in-law and grandson, and enjoyed all the travels and wonderful times. A private family service will be held at a later date.
A lovely lady ‘til the end,
A dear Mother, Grandma, Friend.
In Loving Memory
Madeline Johnson
