Juanita was my older cousin. I am 17 years younger than she. I always thought her name was lovely and unique. She named her Daughter Laurel which is also an even more unique and lovely name. Her mother Phyllis was my Grampy Clare Fraser’s sister. Our last visit was a road trip which we shared with two of my older sisters to Saskatoon. My next younger sister is named Laurel . I don’t believe I have ever met Juanita’s daughter Laurel.
I am so sad to hear of the loss of Juanita. I have been trying to figure out a way to get in touch with her as her number was out of service. I have such fond memories of Juanita...I worked with her in Langley years ago and some of us used to get together to play Rumoli once a month or so. She was always so happy and outgoing and so proud of her family. I will really miss our chats and my heart goes out to her family and friends.
