Obituary of Stanley Shatkowski

Stanley SHATKOWSKI Stanley passed away peacefully in Regina on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the age of 86. He was predeceased by his parents John and Theresa Shatkowski, 10 brothers and 2 sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Margaret, daughters, Sharon Buckingham and Brenda Hutton (Barry), son, Kevin Shatkowski (Janice), grandchildren Angela Hutton (Steve), Christopher Hutton (Laurie), Mitchell Hutton (Natalie), Amber Harnett (Kurt) and Kyle Makarow (Sasha). He also leaves to mourn his great grandchildren Natalie, Mitchell, Noah, Annabelle, Henry, Jackson, Dylan and Avery, his sister, Mary Mengel, many friends and nieces and nephews, including Carl Mengel (Karen) who was always there when he needed him. Stanley was born and spent most of his life in Findlater, Saskatchewan. He moved to Regina for his last few years at Highland Manor where he had many special friends and spent the last few months at the Elmview Care Home. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Elmview for their loving care. At Stanley’s request, there will be no funeral service. There will be a private burial at a later date at the Findlater Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stanley’s memory may be made to the Findlater Cemetery Fund (c/o Pat Schneider, Box 20, Findlater, S0G 1P0), or to a charity of your choice.
