Obituary of Betty June Baker

Please share a memory of Betty to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Betty was born on Dec.18, 1936, she passed away March 19, 2020. Betty was predeceased by her parents Fred and Edith Schlapkohl of Estevan; sister Ellen Richardson; and grandson Mathew. She is survived by her three daughters, Bridget (Shane & Zoey); Bonnie (Brian) and great grandson Brock; Brenda and her husband Bill, (Ian, Tim & Eric); brother Ron (Joyce); brother in law Jim; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was a humble loving lady who was a stay home mom, made the best homemade pizzas, sewed many outfits for us girls and our dolls as well. She was divorced after 24 years of marriage and joined the work force. Betty had a few small jobs before working at Woolco for many years. Before she retired she worked for Impark, looking after a little booth for about 10 years. She was a member of AnaVets and the Eagles. Betty was the treasurer for many years at the Vets Ladies Auxiliary. She was liked by everyone who met her and had many friends. She lived in Cedarwood Manor for almost 20 years and helped with their buddy cards, bingo and dining nights. Betty loved being involved. Our mother had COPD and was on oxygen for almost 20 years but she still stayed involved. Betty will be greatly missed. A family service will be held at a later date.
