Obituary of John Christian Hamann

It is with great sadness that the family of John Christian Hamann announce his passing on May 6, 2020 at Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, SK where he resided for 8 years and was lovingly cared for. John was predeceased by his wife, Frieda; infant daughter Bonnie Lee; son-in-law Andy Deveau; parents Chris and Eva; siblings Frank, Minnie, Anna, Harold, Eva, Emma and Grace. He is survived by his 4 daughters, Brenda Corey, Pat and Dwayne Wagner, Janice Hamann and Darrel Roh and Laurie Deveau; also 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. John worked 30 plus years at the Regina General Hospital as a meat cutter. Known for his love of gardening, lush lawn and the making of Bumpa’s sausage, but most of all his love for his family. Special thanks to the Coteau Range Manor for all the love and care they gave our dad over the years. Due to Covid19 no service will be held at this time. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers donations in John’s memory may be made to the Coteau Range Manor, Box 60, Avonlea, SK, S0H 0C0.
