Obituary of Yvonne Theresa Baker

Our loving God called Yvonne peacefully to His care on Aug 13, 2020. Yvonne was a woman of faith and her faith is what sustained her through her long life. It was a faith that she lived daily, so evident in everything she did and said. Her love for her family and friends was genuine and sincere and absolutely, unconditional. A quiet, selfless, and humble lady, she exemplified elegance, grace, kindness, generosity, and profound patience. She was a kind and most loving mother, a precious friend, and a very devoted and proud grandma. She prayed for her family and friends and everyone in this world, especially the poor and suffering, every single day.

Yvonne was predeceased by her husband, Alfred in 2004; son Tom in 1970, and son Bob in 1999. In sorrow, she leaves to lovingly remember her, her sons Rick (Barb) Baker of Kelowna, BC, Ken of Regina, SK; daughter Janice Baker of Sherwood Park, AB, grandson Chad Knippel (Kelly)  of Sherwood Park, AB, great-granddaughters Parker and Elliot; granddaughter Jill (Mark) Hall of Sherwood Park, AB; daughter Pat (Randy) Koskinen of Nanoose Bay, BC, grandson Jeff (Jenn) Koskinen of Sydney, Australia, great-granddaughter Lua; granddaughter Stephanie (Ian) Goodwin of Calgary, AB, great granddaughters Mila and Lucy; granddaughter Suzanne (Marco) Gnoato of Vancouver, BC, great- grandson Jack, great-granddaughter Gracie.
