Obituary of Connie Lee Schulz

Connie passed away suddenly in Regina, SK on Friday, August 21, 2020 at the age of 57 years.

 

Connie Schulz was born in Ituna, SK. The only daughter of Jack and Leona Leontowicz. In just a few short years she would soon realize her life would be challenging growing up with six brothers: Barry, John, Brian, Gary, Kenny & Kevin . As you can imagine Connie was mom’s favourite, but the boys didn’t hold back in treating her like one of them and Connie was more than able to keep up with her rambunctious brothers. Upon graduating Ituna High School, Connie pursued her passion as a hairdresser in Ituna and later in Regina. She then pursued her strong passion for children and worked as a Childcare worker for 23 years until her retirement with the love of her life, Dave. Connie and Dave were happily married on October 24, 1987. They enjoyed many late nights playing darts with their friends and were quite social. David was always jealous he was never able to beat her perfect dart score of 180. She also considered herself quite the card shark, as her and Dave spent many hours playing cards with their friends and would host regularly. She and Dave enjoyed their trips to Ituna in the spring to help Mom plant the garden and then in the fall to help harvest the rewards. Many hours were spent pickling and jarring for the long winter months ahead. Connie enjoyed cooking and none more so than for the family Christmas dinner where she helped Mom prepare the meals and gave clear direction to the nieces and nephews on who were responsible for the dishes. She was always incredibly kind to her nieces and nephews and constantly kept in touch with them. She was an extraordinarily kind soul and cared for all she knew. She will be sadly missed by Dave, her family, and her many wonderful friends.  

 

Connie is survived by her loving husband David; mom Leona; brothers John (Debbie), Brian (Debbie), Gary (Wendy), Kevin and Kenneth; nephews Fraser, Bryce, Jessie, Cody, Kyle, Victor and Jack; nieces Tasha, Amanda and Jodice; as well as many other family and friends. She was predeceased by her dad Jack and brother Barry.
