Obituary of Frank Joseph Schan

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Schan, a loving Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by his wife Mary (nee Marusiak); parents Killian and Anne Schan; brother Nick Schan; sister Mary Leskey and in-laws Nicholas and Annie Marusiak.  He leaves behind his children: Terri (Preston) Haynee, Beverly (Wayne) Kleefeld, Robert (April) Schan and Patti (Don) Rongve; grandchildren: Ryan (Amber Price) Haynee, Jenna (Jason) Wilker, Amanda Kleefeld, Chelsey (Chris) Meredith, Frankie Schan, Steven Schan, Marcus Schan, Aden Rongve, Brennen Rongve and Julia Rongve; great-grandchildren: Monroe, Emma J, Kenzie, Brooklyn, Kyler and Zander.  He also leaves behind step-grandchildren:  Chris Zaritzky, Rebecca Schan and Nevaeh Price-McLean and will be dearly remembered by his sister Anne Field. Frank lived his entire life in Regina where he met and married his wife Mary (Mickey) and raised their four children. He worked for the Saskatchewan Dept. of Highways for more than 35 years. Frank loved sports and travelling, but his greatest love was spending time with his family. The family would like to thank the staff at Broadway Terrace, College Park II and the staff in Ward 3D at the Pasqua Hospital for their excellent care of our dad. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in Frank’s memory. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of his life will occur at a later date.
