The Jones Family -
I write to express to you and your family the sincere condolences of the Patricias on the passing of Lloyd Jones. I have met Lloyd over the years. Canada and the Regiment remember his service, and the family I am sure is proud of that service. His name will be read in this year’s list of the lost when we read that list out this November in the Scared Space in Beechwood, the National Military Cemetery, Ottawa. His name will also be listed in the 2020 edition of the Patrician’s Last Post section.
Thank you all for obviously supporting Lloyd throughout his long life. We are glad that he had a vibrant family and that he extended his service so effectively to his community.
Should any of Lloyd's family want to maintain a connection with the Regiment, a gratis three year Memorial Membership in the PPCLI Association is available. Contact Mr Herb Kenny, the Membership Chairman, at hkenny@shaw.ca, for details.
I regret that this note is so late, but I only today found out that Lloyd had passed.
Brigadier-General Vince Kennedy (Retired)
Colonel of the Regiment

Our deepest sympathies to family and friends, upon the death of a man of high integrity and noble soul. Our mother was a great admirer of Lloyd and was profoundly impacted by his leadership and guidance in The Writer's Club that he led. A true "Man for all Seasons", a paragon of grace, and friendliness. What a laudable legacy he left behind. The world is poorer by his absence. Rest in Peace, our dear friend.

So sorry to hear of Lloyd's passing. My knowledge of him goes back into the 60's with the Militia in Indian Head. He was a tireless worker. For the Poppy campaign he was an annual visitor to our house for a number of years and certainly deserved the Saskatchewan Volunteer Medal Our world is not as good a place with is passing.
Sincerely , Keith Inches

Although Lloyd lived a long and fulfilled life, we were saddened to learn of his sudden passing. Not only was Lloyd a long standing member of the Regina Senior Citizens' Centre, he served several terms on the Board of Directors including having held the office of President. He worked tirelessly as a volunteer, often organizing and participating in several seniors activities and programs and was often called upon to be Master of Ceremonies during public events. Lloyd had a deep sense and concern of the needs for seniors. Having been associated with Lloyd for the past 20 years we can indeed confirm the wording posted in his obituary "Lloyd was a perfect example of a true Saskatchewan volunteer and made a difference to many people".
Well done "good and faithful servant">

To the family of Mr. Jones
I first met Mr. Jones at the RUSI, he always had a story and I always enjoyed hearing about his adventures. When he found out that my son was a Patricia, he took his PPCLI Support Our Troops yellow ribbon pin off his jacket and gave it to me. I will never forget that day, and I always wear this pin. May the memories you have of you dad help you through this difficult time.
