Joseph Richter
August 23, 1937 – March 21, 2016
On Monday, March 21, The Toronto Maple Leafs lost their #1 FAN. Joe passed away at the age of 78. He was predeceased by his parents, Molly and Joe; brother Lewis. Joe is survived by his wife Bev of 54 years, daughters Shauna (John), Ellie (Jason) and son Colin (JoAnn); grandchildren Lindsay (Sean), Kailee and Colby; Bob Burgart, a very special friend and mentor; also three furry friends: Jessie, Tux and Hector. Joe was an avid 5-pin bowler & golfer. He enjoyed watching all sports, especially The Blue Jays and took great pride in watching his grandchildren play softball, baseball and basketball. He was an employee at The Leader Post for 38 years. At Joe’s request, there will be no funeral service. Thank you to Sunset Nursing Home for their care; special thanks to Debbie for her kindness and compassion.
