My teens and 20’s were blessed with Barry's mom. All the times we would spend over at Barry's house being up to no-good, planning garden raids, trying to make rockets. Barry's mom always had such a great smile and always welcomed us in and was glad to see us go. Her memory will always be with me as will all the Ackermans. What a great family! Love you Bruce and Lori Lipinski

So many memories of growing up and stories never to be forgotten come from that home on Garnet street. Josephine (and Dan) were hosts for everybody and anybody, we always felt welcome and comfortable there. Sincere condolences to the family.

To the Ackerman Family. My sincerest sympathies on the passing of your beloved Mom and Grandma. I have such fond memories of "calling" on Bev to walk to school. I would stand in your back porch every morning, and watch in amazement how your Mom fed so many people, effortlessly cleaned up the kitchen, (while drinking her instant coffee!), and then often appeared a short time later at St. Peter's School as a substitute teacher! Throughout the years, I always felt welcomed by your Mom and your entire family. She was an amazing women and her legacy of family love and values will live on in all of you.
Sincerely, Cindy (Kuchinski) Bates
