Helen had a huge family who she loved and enjoyed their visits. She loved playing cards and doing puzzles. Helen also loved attending round dances and fiddle dances. She worked for 29 years as a Cree Instructor at Payepot School. During her time there she became everyone’s “Kokom Helen” and cared for all who knew her. Kokom had the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, New Mexico, and various places where she made many friends. Kokom had a very strong bond with her community of Piapot, that she supported in many ways. Helen was admired by many. She lived her full circle of life; her work down here was finished.

At the family’s request, flowers will be gratefully declined, and no children will be allowed to attend. Covid-19 precautions will be in place.
