Obituary of Margaret Clara Will
With heavy hearts the family must say goodbye to their beloved mother, mother in-law, grandmother, sister and aunt.
Margaret was born and raised in Kelliher, SK. On June 28, 1958, she married Emil Will and they later moved to Regina and raised a family of six children. Along with raising a large family, Margaret also held several jobs over the years, as a waitress, house cleaner, McGavins bakery production line worker and as housekeeper at the Saskatchewan Legislation building where she received recognition for exceptional work. The framed letter of recognition was a cherished honor.
Mom will always be remembered for helping many family and friends over the years and opening her door to many when they needed a helping hand.
Family was especially important to Mom and Christmas was always a special occasion. All of Margaret’s grandchildren will forever remember Grandma’s famous monster cookies, a special treat she often baked for them. She will always be remembered for her knitting skills and was especially proud of one sweater she made for herself and actually kept instead of giving it away. Mom was always ready for a good game of bingo, Yahtzee or cribbage. Winning a car at bingo one year was a definite highlight. Margaret loved country music. Family visits with her siblings often led to her bringing out her guitar and everyone enjoying a sing-along. Summers were filled with gardening and you could never leave without getting a bag of fresh veggies.
Margaret loved animals and donated regularly to the Regina Humane Society. There was never an animal she wouldn't take in and over the years rescued several, one cat twice. The Humane Society was remembered in Margaret’s will with a generous bequest.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents Theodore and Elsie Resener; brothers Raymond, Donald and Arthur; sisters Judy, Marie, Marjorie May and Doris. She will be lovingly remembered by brothers Allan (Geraldine), Melvin (Lorena) and sisters Donna, Doreen and Darlene.
Margaret leaves to mourn but celebrate fond memories her sons, David (Penny) and their daughters Natasha and Brittney; Dennis (Sheila) and their daughter Rebecca; Barry; Douglas (Mercedes) son Tyler and daughter Kyla; Brian (Patty) and their sons Eric, Jason and Robert; and her very special daughter Bonnette (Graham) and her daughters Jordan and Kelsi. She will also be missed by extended family and friends.
The family would like to thank Sunset Extendicare for caring for mom the past few years.
Margaret will be laid to rest with her husband Emil at the Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery, 815 Assiniboine Ave. E. Regina, SK. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be no church service. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020, please meet inside the gates prior to service. A Celebration of Life will be held in June 2021. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society in Mom’s memory.
In Loving Memory
Margaret Will
