Obituary of Myrna Joyce Atkinson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myrna Joyce Atkinson on Friday, December 4, 2020 at the age of 66, a victim of Covid-19. Myrna was born in Balcarres, SK on July 13, 1954 and was raised in Broadview. A long-time employee of Sears Canada, Myrna also worked in ISC and in the Canadian Military. She is predeceased by her parents, Steve Melnyk and Elsie (Lerat) Melnyk; as well as brothers and sister in law: Michael Lazich, Elroy Trithardt, Tim Atkinson and Karen Shortill. Myrna leaves to mourn her husband of 45 years, Steve; their son Corey; grandchildren Liam and Lennon Atkinson; brothers Dan and Stephen; sisters Karen, Kathy and Leah; and beloved nieces and nephews. She was loved and will be missed. Myrna will be cremated and her ashes interred at a small family gathering at a later date.
