Obituary of Margaret Magdalene Selby

With sadness, we announce the passing of Margaret Magdalene Selby, on Friday, December 4, 2020.  She was born Margaret Marie Bayerle on August 11, 1925 in Weyburn, SK.  Although Margaret grew up on the family farm near McTaggart, SK, she worked in retail in Weyburn in her later teens and then trained as a nurse.  Margaret enjoyed a successful and fulfilling career in which she concluded as the Superintendent of Psychiatric Nursing of the Monroe Wing of Regina General Hospital.

She was married to Cameron Selby, who passed away in 1969, with whom she had their son, Stewart; Margaret and Stewart enjoyed numerous pet dogs and cats in the home they shared, and she was active with community groups well into her later years.  Margaret is survived by her son Stewart; sister Marian; and nieces and nephews who remember her with appreciation. She was predeceased by her brothers Steven, Philip and Joseph.

Her life will be celebrated by her family members when time and safety permits.
