Obituary of Evangeline Renetta Wilson
Evangeline (Vangie) Wilson, late of Balgonie and Regina. It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great grandmother and our angel on earth, Vangie. She passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in the Palliative Care unit at the Pasqua Hospital.
The Lindenbach choir is now complete as she joins all her siblings: Herman, Albert, Sylvia (Ast), Art, Edwin, Dorothy (Martin), Ernie and Bob in heavenly song.
Mom is predeceased by our dad, Clayton Wilson; parents John and Amalia Lindenbach; 5 brothers and 2 sisters; parents-in-law Ed & Gladys Wilson; her sisters-in-law Eda, Nina, Grace, Helene, and Norma Lindenbach; and brothers-in-law Fred Ast, George Martin and Garth Wilson and son-in-law Tony Kurtz.
She is survived by her son Keith (Judy) Wilson; daughter Rennie (Rod) Dorn and their family Janine (Duley) Ford, Tracy (Ryan) Bailey and Drake Dorn; daughter Colleen (Lyle) Logel and their family Jessica Kurtz (Darren Mawson), Evann Kurtz (Derek Grey), Brian (Abbey) Logel and Dale (Jen) Logel; and beloved great grandchildren.
Mom and dad spent most of their married lives in Balgonie where they raised their family. She worked at the local store, Taskers, for a few years but her main job was being a mom! Vangie loved to garden alongside dad until his passing in June of 1999. She was an active member of the Balgonie Baptist Church and had a large and loving church family that she dearly missed after moving to Regina when she required more care. We would like to thank the staff at College Park as well as Dove House, especially Helen for her loving care of mom when we couldn’t be there these past months. We would also like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff at 3C Palliative Care unit at the Pasqua Hospital for the care and compassion they showed our mother in her last days.
Due to Covid-19 and obeying recent criteria for gatherings, we will be planning a celebration of life for mom at a later date. If friends so desire, a contribution may be made to mom’s favorite cause, The Canadian Bible Society at biblesociety.ca.
In Loving Memory
Evangeline Wilson
