Obituary of Helena Lerat

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Helena “Nina” Lerat on Thursday, December 9, 2020 at the age of 54 years.

 

She was predeceased by her husband Sheldon Bear; mother Florence Lerat “Peggy”; father William J. Delorme “Budgie”; son Michael Bear; daughter Tiffany Bear; granddaughter Claire Araya; grandson Creed Lerat; brother Frank Lerat; nephew Timmy Lerat; nephew Kanata Naytowhow; and brother-in-law Michael Ryder.

 

Helena is survived by her children Melissa, Abby, Rebecca, Samantha, Tara, Marc, Matthew, Emma and Dreden; siblings Herb, E. Dutch, Derek, Loretta, Lou, Kathi, Dee Dee, Mary and Deena; 32 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; extended Lerat family; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

Wake will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. in the Cowessess Band Hall, Cowessess First Nation, SK.  Funeral Service take place on Friday December 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the same location.  Covid -19 protocols will apply.  Interment in Cowessess First Nation Band Cemetery.
