Obituary of Martin Kaytor
We are saddened by the passing of a man who had taken a 100% turn in his life. He became more caring with the terrible news that his only child had terminal cancer. I am only too happy to have prepared your obituary before I pass away. Dad, everyone you have left behind will miss you.
Martin was predeceased by his parents William and Bertha Kaytor of Markinch, SK; brothers Louis (Winnie), Bill, Danny, Tony, and Little Johnne in infancy; sisters Martha (Joe) Lovas, Mary (Jim) Volk, Elsie (Len) Ernie, Rose (Steve) Palahicky and Annie in infancy. He was predeceased and survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to mention.
Martin is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lillian; daughter Carol Handke (nee Kaytor); his only grandson Brent Kaytor (Nicole); and four great-grandchildren Taleah, Cameron, Davin and Landon. He is also survived by stepchildren Myrna Lampe (Ken), step-granddaughter Haley Trafford and stepson Darrel Lampe. Martin is also survived by brothers Jimmy, John and Steve (Susan); sister Velma (Jim) Bohla; and sisters in law Doreen and Judy.
Dad worked many jobs during his life, from janitorial work at St. Martin’s Parish, STC and Pioneer Village. He also worked construction labour on many buildings in Regina, such as the SPC building, The Centre of the Arts, and The Bay to name a few. He drove truck for South Bros Construction, and also did roofing for Clark’s Roofing. No matter what Dad did, he had a crutch that held him back from doing anything for very long.
Dad, we’ll all miss you.
Love, Your Family
