I met Sally through my mom who was President of the YW when Sally and her family first arrived in Regina. She was so engaged in her kids’ lives; she would accompany son Bryn to the pool when he came to cheer on his friends in water polo, of all things. Her circle was warm and wide. Of course I then sourced all her programs and light when time came for me to have a family of my own. She also mined my strengths and encouraged me to mentor other moms. She is loved and missed.

Sally stayed with me all night when I had my twins in 1988. She provided reassurance and comfort. She was one of a kind. I also attended her pre and post natal classes. I made sure that I got the twins fed in plenty of time so I did not have to miss her post natal exercise classes. It was a lifesaver. Something to look forward to, getting out of the house and meeting with other mothers.

Sally was truly one of the best. I unfortunately had to miss many of my prenatal classes -as my little decided to come early. That didn’t stop sally from being there for me. In fact, it was at one of my most scared moments in hospital that she decided to pop In and see how I was. I didn’t know I needed her then, but there she was, and I will be forever grateful. She will be missed by all who were lucky enough to have known her, no matter how long. Rip sally.

She help so many new moms. I am one of them. The best advice was to make sure you are relaxed when the time comes. If you are clenching your teeth/jaw the rest of your body won't be relaxed. These words helped me have my first child.
She had a light of kindness and truly will be missed. My condolences.

Sally was a true angel on earth! Although the loss felt is tremendous, there is no way to truly measure the incredible impact she had on mothers all across Regina! She was able to build community and create strong villages for generations of mothers. She changed my life with her humour, insights and ability to provide reassurance when it was needed the most. Rest In Peace my sweet Sally!

My husband and I were immigrants to this big land with no extended family to teach and show us what to expect during pregnancy, labor and baby care. Sally was our mentor and played a very important role in setting us on the right foot in parenthood. Our kids went to YMCA daycare so we always get to see Sally and our kids all knew her. She leaves a kind, loving, supportive warm image in all of our hearts, with her always optimistic big smile. We will miss you forever, Sally!

Sally, you will truly be missed. We named our first born, Elliott after her. She was there after both births and my nurse after my ectopic surgery. I couldn’t believe my fortune! RIP beautiful angel. God speed❤️

I was privileged enough to be in some of Sally's prenatal classes and later work with her on Perinatal Loss committees. She was enthusiastic, genuine and such caring person. A delight to be with. Sympathies to all Sally's family in this time of loss. She is soaring with the angels and her work here on earth is complete but her journey has just begun.

Sally managed to touch so many lives wherever she went. Her family were given the gift of her generous soul and we were also blessed with the same. As a natural healer, Sally didn’t know how to separate the two.
Elliot family, know that your memories of Sally will be the balm that soothes your ache in missing her. I am so sorry for your loss.
A philosopher I have always respected and loved wrote a short poem I have always strived to live. Sally mastered that one. Here it is
I slept and dreamt that life was joy,
I awoke and saw that life was service,
I acted, and behold, service was joy.

I LOVED Sally's prenatal classes!
I was in the hospital with PUPPP, which caused some issues when my twins were born. Sally came to visit and shared some reading material re - the rash, as I had never heard of it before. I was so amazed by her kindness and will always remember her for that! What an incredible human being :)

My deepest condolences to John and family. I am deeply saddened to hear of Sally’s passing. I feel very blessed to have had Sally’s friendship and presence in my life. During times that I’ve felt vulnerable, overwhelmed, and afraid, having had Sally in my corner, with her tireless support, words of wisdom, and never failing faith in me has always been tremendously comforting. Sally was in so many corners, always providing encouragement and reassurance, her absence will truly be felt by so many, long after this day.
Sincerely,

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of lovely, wonderful Sally Ann Elliott.
Sally Ann’s wisdom, kindness, support and expertise, in her pre-natal classes and then in Baby Playgroup, were a lifeline for us, with our first baby, new to Regina and far from family. That baby is now almost 26, and we are still grateful to Sally.
Love, caring and warmth was at the core of Sally’s being, and shone through in every interaction. She will always be one of our heroes.
We send Sally’s family and Regina our heartfelt condolences.
