Obituary of Clarence Garnet Schwartz
It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Clarence on Thursday, April 22, 2021 in Regina, SK.
Clarence was a loving husband to Sheila; father to Brandon (Lindsay) and Blaire (Ryan); and grandfather to Emmett, Corbin, London, and Gage. He was predeceased by his parents, Rose and Arthur Schwartz; brother Dwayne Schwartz; sister Louella Wagner; sister-in-law Ann Schwartz and brother-in-law Bernie Solomon. He is also survived by sisters Angeline Solomon and Eileen (Jack) Mitchell; brother Melvin (Elaine) Schwartz; and brother-in-law Philip Wagner,
Clarence was born and raised around Cupar, SK. He was a farm boy at heart and loved telling stories with his brother Mel of their memories growing up in the Cupar area. Clarence settled in Regina, where he worked as an electrician, influencing many young apprentices. In the summer, Clarence and Sheila would hook up to their camper to spend days or weeks with friends and family at many of the campgrounds around the province and country. In the winter, they ventured to hot destinations with close friends. Just before COVID they enjoyed a 40th wedding anniversary trip to Europe. He was so proud of his grandchildren, never missing out on a FaceTime call. He made many long trips to Saskatoon and Cochrane to spend a few days. His many friends and family will dearly miss Clarence.
A heartfelt thank you for the exceptional care provided by the physicians, nurses, and support staff on the Surgical ICU unit at Regina General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lung Association of Saskatchewan or get your Covid-19 vaccine in Clarence’s memory. A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., a livestream may be viewed at https://youtu.be/GqzRp5HKUvM.
In Loving Memory
