Obituary of Ronald Frank Gelsinger

Please share a memory of Ronald to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with saddened hearts that we say goodbye to our dear husband, father, grandpa and friend, who passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the age of 74. Ronald Frank Gelsinger is survived by his loving wife, Diana; children Shannon Gelsinger, Kevin (Denise) Gelsinger and Kim (Pat) Sullivan; grandchildren Tessa (Dave) Collier, Brayden Gelsinger, Nathan Gelsinger, Kaylee Sullivan and Connor Sullivan; sister Loretta Ritsco; nephew Ronald Ritsco and great niece Ehmry;  nieces Shelly and Deidre; and brother-in-law Mickey (Irene) Bourns and family.  He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Gelsinger and sister Marlene.

Ronald grew up in Holdfast, SK on the family farm. He then moved to Regina where he met his sweetheart, Diana Bourns. They were married on December 3, 1966 in the Little Flower Parish. Not long after, they had three children: Shannon, Kevin and Kimmy. Ron started his own successful drywall company (Action Drywall). He enjoyed collecting cards (Wayne Gretzky) and was a big sports fan. Ron very much enjoyed his cottage (Glen Harbour) with his family and friends. Ron, Dianne and eldest son Shannon had spent many years in Arizona together, enjoying the warm winter months.

Everyone who spent time with Ron knew he was a very giving person and never expected anything in return.  He loved his wife, children and grandchildren with all of his heart, mind and soul. He made many lifelong friendships. Life will not be the same without Ron. He will always be loved, forever remembered and greatly missed.
