Lana was a childhood friend of my brother, Ed. There are many stories of Lana and Reg and the good times they shared together. I best knew Lana as a loving, caring mother who took great pride in her children. Lana always greeted me with a huge smile and a hug which meant a great deal to me. I would like to share my hugs with Lynelle, Richelle, Rayelle, and Shaye. May your memories give you strength and laughter . Our condolences and prayers for all the family.

I fell in love with Lana when we first met -- at Scott Collegiate in Regina in 1965 -- and ever since, I have been amazed and grateful that she chose to be my friend. I have seen her grow from beloved and supportive daughter to fierce competitor at basketball and bridge (and most other activities in which she took part) to loving spouse, mother, and grandmother. I must also note her creation and operation of a highly successful business along the way -- Lana was a born entrepreneur, and her skilled services were much sought-after -- but her greatest love was her family, to which she was deeply and happily devoted. My life is diminished by losing Lana, but greater for having known her. If you're listening, my Little Red-Haired Girl, I love you still. Thank you for being my friend.

Jack and I celebrated Lana with a trip to A&W for a Teen Burger which was her favorite thing to do! Who could ever forget the amazing Boxing Day get togethers with her and Reg….one of my favorite memories was getting into the Brown Cows with Lana and Sharon one year….I don’t believe I’ve ever laughed so much!! We would get together nearly every week to play cards….they did their best to teach me bridge! Lana’s was a life well lived! We will miss her.

I remember when I first met Lana I was in awe of her. She had beautiful long red hair, dressed stylish and was outgoing.
She was an A student at Scott collegiate, worked at Army and Navy (clothing store) to help support her mom and sister Sherry, involved in extra curricular school activities and helped my brother, Reg, go through rough times of his own.
She dreamed of going to university to become a teacher but instead opted to marry Reg and supported him emotionally and financially in getting a teaching degree from U of R.
She got a secretarial job at the Hotel Saskatchewan in the accounting department but was quickly noticed by the manager and he encouraged her to become his secretary.
Lana got me her old job in the accounting department which gave us the opportunity to work together and “play” together every day. There were many a time Reg would have to pick us up because of our “play times” we had after work.
Lana and I were close and she was my maid of honour at our wedding. Reg and Lana even came on our honeymoon with us as they missed out on having one of their own (I think they went to Moose Jaw for a night)
She will be missed by family and friends.

Lana was such a kind, compassionate person. She was always ready to lend an ear and help out. Her commitment to her family was admirable. She was certainly one of the best Grandmothers (and Mother) I’ve met. She is gone too soon. Rest In Peace, Lana. My condolences to all of the family.
