Obituary of Nancy Lynn Pepin
It is with sadness that the family of Nancy Lynn Pepin announces her passing on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at the age of 69 years.
She was predeceased by her mother June Fredlund (nee Isaac) and father Bertil Fredlund; dear sister Arlene Drummond; brother-in-law Bruce Faux, twin sister-in-law Shirley Draycott and mother-in-law Anne Pepin.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 45 years Dennis Pepin Sr.; children Sonya, Vanessa, Michael, Lena, Tammy and Dennis Jr.; sisters Marion, Karen (Stan Sr.), Gail (Adolph) and Sheryl; brothers-in-law Dave, Gary (Jackie), Jim (Nora), Ron (Debbie), Darryl, Ross (Renee), and Phillip (Deborah); special grandchildren Jadyn, Joe, Caeden, Blaise, Mekwan, Keesopwayo, Shylee, Kitara and Tyrsis; as well as her dear friend Lorna Standingready. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, friends and adopted family.
Nancy lived a humble life. She held fond memories of growing up. whether that was smelling her mom's cooking, singed bird feathers after dad's hunting or babysitting different nieces and nephews. She was happiest around her family and especially her grandchildren. When her grandchildren weren't around, she could be seen smiling at their pictures calling them her "beauties" and "cuties". Nancy enjoyed going to bingo with her sisters and always looked forward to making an annual trip to Calgary and visiting them. When it came to her in-laws she was often laughing and teasing right along with them as they bugged her. She loved all her nieces, nephews and their kids and would smile while talking or looking at pictures about them.
All those that entered Nancy's home and were around her at family gatherings experienced her humour, laughter, positivity, kindness and famous cooking. She always acknowledged her Swedish /English Ancestry and was very fond of Metis /First Nations Culture.
The family thanks all that shared in her life.
