Q: How did you meet Alan?
A: I worked with Al at Greyhound, Edmonton. If he had a bad day, no one would know; always had a smile. He was well-liked by his peers as he had a positive outlook and was very easy going. It is easy to understand why he will be so missed.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Alan’s passing. He had been a lifelong friend. His laugh was contagious. He will be missed. Our deepest condolences to his family.
My deepest condolences to all the family. I have many memories of Alan. Alan once said to me Leanne wear out don't rust out. Alan you traveled many miles on the road, and you traveled many miles as my brother-in-law and never rusted out. You're always there for me and my boys. Your jokes and humor would go on for hours during your visits. It saddens me that you couldn't keep going any longer. But you did what it was possible and now you shine with no rust. The image we all have of you Al is one of an enthusiastic and energetic man you played many roles for us and we're able to solve any problems, give advice and opinions with great mastery. You had me believe as you watch me grow up to Womanhood that the most important part of you will be what's inside. Thank you Alan for all your support I love you and you'll be sadly missed
