Bill and I were so sorry to hear of Ernie’s passing. I have fond memories of Ernie when I was a young teenager and he was dating Mary who, at that time, was a single gal living in a suite in my parents house. I remember him as a person who had a sense of humour, always smiling and teasing my sister Ingried and me when we were kids. Years later, through marriage, we became related when Leanne married Bill’s nephew Terry. Strange how fate works. Ernie and Mary became very close friends of my parents and the foursome would often make a Saturday trip to Plentywood, Montana for ice cream or a cold brew.
