Obituary of Margaret Joanne Buch

Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Margaret “Marge” Joanne Buch passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023 (Mother's Day), at the age of 87, after a lengthy and courageous illness which she battled with dignity. She was born on September 30, 1935, in Regina and was the second oldest of six children.

Marge married Theodore “Ted” Buch on December 15, 1956 who she raised three children with.

Marge was predeceased by her husband, Ted on February 2, 1999; parents Joe and Eva Uhren; sister Elinor (Joe) Ries; foster brother Herb St. Denis; sister-in-law Carol St. Denis; brothers-in-law Finley Molnar and Joe (Elinor) Ries; niece Cindy Wisniewski, and her baby son Jonathon; and niece Cheryl Ries.

Left to mourn are her three children: son Ted Jr (Sharon) Buch, granddaughter Brittany Chapman (Tommy), great-grandchildren Nash, Sadie, Boston and Maddox, grandson Landon Buch (Madeline); son Tim (Lori) Buch, granddaughters Allysha (Eric) and Jaclyn (Nate) Buch; son Jason Buch (Alison); sister, Paulette Molnar; brothers Clifford (Jean) Josephson and Randy (Donna) Uhren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Marge was a loving mother and always provided food, warmth and love for her children. She had a kind heart and was always there to help when needed. Marge loved tending to her flowers in her backyard and even won awards. She loved dogs and over the years she had many, her special ones were Trixie (who she bought home as a child), Sheba and lastly Babe.

Marge loved to whistle and often said she could be a professional. She also enjoyed singing with her sisters.

Marge attended North Regina School and then Scott Collegiate. She gained lifelong friends from both.

In Marge’s earlier years, before she developed arthritis in her fingers, she would sew and knit for her grandchildren.

Marge loved spending time with family and friends and always had an open door. Family get togethers were always fun times.

Marge will be forever missed by everyone whose lives she touched.

The family would like to thank everyone for the excellent and compassionate care she received at Palliative Care, Pasqua Hospital and William Booth Care Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Regina Humane Society. Graveside Service for immediate family will be held at a later date.
