Obituary of Melodie Dawn Gale

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Melodie “Mel” “Tune” Dawn Gale, 66, of Regina, SK on Wednesday, July 5, 2023.

Mel was born in Burnaby, BC to Don and Marne Thody on June 16, 1957. She worked for The Co-operators for 39 years before retiring in 2017. Mel spent her retirement crocheting blankets for local pet rescues and baskets for the Twinkle Star Project. She loved spending time with her granddaughter, taking care of her children, and travelling with her best friend, Belle.

Mel is survived by her daughters, Courtney Debreceni and Jensina Wilson; granddaughter, Jordynn Wilson; mother, Marne Thody; brother, Chuck (Claudine) Thody; nephew, Jason White; and brother-in-law, Barry White. She was preceded in death by her father Don Thody; and sister Holly White.

In respect to Mel’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
