Obituary of Cecile Marie Amyotte
It is with great sadness that the family of Cecile Marie Amyotte announce she passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at the All Nations Healing Hospital, Fort Qu’Appelle on Tuesday, July 25, 2023.
Mom was deeply loved and cherished by her loving husband Morris of 63 years; five children, Greg (Wanda), Cheryl, Karen (Keith), Richard (Cherie) and Carmen (Albert); and her sister, Papesh (Pat); and adopted daughter, Arlene Johnson. She will be lovingly missed by all her grandchildren, whom she adored, Dallas Amyotte (Cheyenne), Amanada (Kevin) Fisher, Melissa Amyotte (Mike), Shelby Amyotte, Quinn Amyotte-Bear (Matt), Tanner Amyotte, Kyan (Amanda) Benesh, Nolan Benesh, Brett Boehme, Tristen Amyotte (Caia), Hannah Benesh and Keltyn Amyotte; and her great-grandchildren, Hudson Feairs, Klara Fisher, Elena Fisher, Mila Feairs, MacKenzie Herperger, Griffin Herperger, Brooklynn Amyotte (Kohl), Jenna Amyotte, Cody Bear, Maddison Amyotte, Liam Killins, Aries Amyotte-Bear, Grasyn Killins, Dallyn Amyotte, Ella Bellegarde-Boehme and Kinsley Benesh.
She was predeceased by baby boy Amyotte; mother, Margaret Moran; stepfather, Johnny Moran; and brother Gilbert “Tucker Boy” Moran.
Mom was born and raised south of Lebret at the top of the hills, where she lived her entire life in the valley. She enjoyed outdoor activites, such as ski-dooing, gardening, quadding, fishing, camping, golfing and curling. Mom loved her Toronto Blue Jays, especially Vladdy Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette’s hair. Mom also enjoyed playing canasta and playing crib with dad every day.
Mom enjoyed visiting with her children. She would stop in and have coffee/tea daily with them, and we will truly miss those daily visits.
In later years, Mom enjoyed the friendships she developed with the ladies from “2 Good 2 Be Threw” every Friday for lunch. During Mom’s hardship, she was able to come home and celebrate their 63rd wedding anniversary with her husband and family.
At the family’s request, there will be no funeral service and a private graveside will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mom may be made to the All Nations Healing Hospital, Box 300, Fort Qu’Appelle, SK S0G 1S0 or to the Allan Blair Cancer Centre c/o Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan, 200-4545 Parliament Avenue, Regina, SK S4W 0G3
In Loving Memory
