Obituary of Ronald Harold Alexander Gray
Ronald Harold Alexander Gray passed away at the Regina General Hospital on Friday, August 18, 2023 at the age of 80. Ron was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and received his education in Langenburg, Cupar and at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy in 1965. Ron married Judy Spivak in 1965 and worked in Eston and Regina before purchasing his own pharmacy in Maryfield in 1968 and later in Wawota in 1972. Due to health issues, Ron’s career came to an end in 2009, and he moved to Regina a short while later in 2012. Ron’s retirement was spent in Palm Springs, Regina, and Moose Mountain Provincial Park where he enjoyed innumerable rounds of golf and cheering on his favourite team the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Ron served on Wawota’s town council and was a member of the Wawota Business Association. Additionally, he was a member of the Maryfield and Wawota Lions clubs. Ron was a huge Wawota Flyers fan and timekeeper for many years, while also dedicating his time to the Wawota Curling Club. Ron made us laugh and entertained us all with his comedic acting skills during performances with Snagglepuss and Wawota Dinner Theatre. Ron enjoyed music and singing, especially the Eagles, as well as fishing, curling, and golfing. Golf Kenosee was his summertime happy place.
Ron will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his wife Judy, son John (Erin), grandchildren Josh and Delaney (Marshall) Gray, daughter Shalila (Sheldon), grandchildren Kye (Brynn) and Tilar (Andy) Steinke, brothers Gord (Carol) and Brian Gray, niece Susan (Randy) Rangen, and countless other nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Ron was predeceased by his father John Alexander Gray, mother Joye Gray, and niece Tracy Updike.
A Celebration of Life will take place on October 14, 2023, in Moose Mountain Provincial Park. More details to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Golf Kenosee Capital Inc. Mailing address: Box 98, Kenosee Lake, SK S0C 2S0 or e-transfer: admin@golfkenosee.com. Please mention that the e-transfer is a memorial donation in the comment section.
In Loving Memory
