Michael, I’m so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. You both were here in Ontario years ago when you were performing at that stand up comedy show and that’s the last time I saw him. We lost touch after that. I searched your dad’s name a couple of times hoping to reconnect with him. My mom and brother passed last fall as well, and in cleaning out my parents house I found your dad’s business card and when I searched again, I found his obituary. I’m at a loss to know I won’t get to speak to him again. But I wanted to reach out to you to say I always was delighted to see him and have good memories of him always. My parents were also very fond of him. My sincere condolences to you.

West was a great guy, always smiling and looking at the sunny side of things. A true optimist! He will be sadly missed. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.

Very sorry to hear of Wes’s passing. When I was the councillor on Lumsden’s RM for the division bordering Regina Beach Wes could always be relied upon to be reasonable and willing to work towards the common good. When he shaved Patti’s head prior to her chemo treatment she was understandably on the verge of tear, Wes soon had her weeping with laughter. So nice. Wes loved the beach and the surrounding area and his dedication to the community was unending. Darned good storyteller, too! An entirely necessary ability, Wes felt, for a barber. On behalf of my family condolences to all Wes’s loved ones.
