Obituary of Marian Wingert

Marian passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at the age of 98 years.

 

Marian is survived by two sons, Larry (Liz) and Maurice (Linda). Nanny, as known by her grandchildren, is also survived by; Sandi (Clint), Brian (Laurel), Tyler, Trevor (Ashley), Derek (Jill); and great-grandchildren, Isabella, Carter, Declan and Grace. She was predeceased by her husband, Frank, in 1993

 

Marian was born in Insinger, SK as Marian Budinsky, part of a very large family, predeceased by five brothers and four sisters and survived by three sisters; Jean, Isabell, and Sylvia.

 

Marian and Frank were married in 1945, where they lived in the Estlin/Rowatt district.  They retired, Frank from farming and Marian from being employed at the Regina General Hospital, and moved to Regina in 1981. Cooking, baking, food presentation and serving were her passions, much enjoyed by all family and friends.

 

The family would like to thank all staff at Coteau Range Manor in Avonlea, SK and Providence Place Care Home in Moose Jaw, SK for their excellent care and compassion.

In respect of Marian’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.  A family memorial will be held at a later date.
