Obituary of Janet Lee Lawrence

It is with the heaviest of hearts the family of Janet “Jan” Lee Lawrence announce her passing at the age of 67 in Regina, SK. 

Jan is survived by her husband and best friend Luke; son Jared (Vicki); grandchildren Averi and Treyton; siblings Pat, Ed (Sandy), Bonnie and Shelly (Wayne); honourary sister Terry; nieces, Kelly, Carly and Micki; nephews Tyler and Dion; great-nieces Megan and Lauryn; great-nephews Mac and Harlan; as well as many cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter Erin; parents John and Cecilia Lochbaum; and nephew Christian Lochbaum.

Jan was born in Bienfait, SK.  She graduated from Estevan Comprehensive School in 1974 and went on to study at Wascana Institute in Regina.  After a year she decided to take a different direction and went on to work as an Operator for SaskTel and climbing up the ladder to a successful career in Sales with SaskTel until her retirement in 2006. 

Jan’s greatest passion was her family and friends and her love for all kinds of music, the charity Teddy Bears Anonymous founded by her husband Luke, and her cabin at Kanata Valley.  She loved being out at the lake with her family and friends. 

Jan’s life will be honoured with a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2024 in the Silton United Church, Silton, SK.  Interment to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Craven, SK.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to their charity Teddy Bears Anonymous.
