As Barbie's older sister I was greatly saddened to hear that Barbie had passed away at such a young age. My sister Barbie was the toughest gal in the world! She'd always be found up a tree... on top of the biffie/outhouse roof at our cottage, Regina Beach... up in the community pasture riding an old blonde mare bareback, holding onto its mane... hoist me up behind her, me being the older sister, me not so brave, I'd be holding onto her for dear life... Oddly enough she attracted boys/guys/men like flies to honey... like flies to fly paper... stuck on her... She joined cadets... duh!? And quickly a report back that she had won a shooting contest over all the "whimpy" (no shade) fellow male, not so manly, fellow cadets... She told me, "Cathleen when I grow up I'm going to have a horse!" My goodness did she ever... she married the absolutely nicest guy, Lyle Sinclair... they bought a farm... she has/had horses, birds, goats, chickens, a pig... and she crafted canvas painted stuffed table-size rocking horses... met Wayne Newton at a horse show and he bought one from her... She loved animals. When our dad had to put our beloved dog Pepper down, Barbie came home from school to discover this and ran away, devastated. Barbie had been hurt a time or two in her lifetime but she always remained upbeat and joyful. I'm sure Lyle will miss her exuberant spirit... Barbie love our dad. He was diagnosed with lung cancer, Regina had a long waiting list for surgery, she insisted her & I go to his doctor, and I listened while she talked the doctor into doing something immediately due to her insistence! She was amazing! No one else like her! Have always loved her and always will! My sympathy to Amanda, Johnathon, Lyle and family. I promise to plant a tree in her memory... and I will make a donation of $100 to Salthaven West (Saskatchewan) Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre Inc. in her name. A wildlife rehab center dear to my heart, where I've sent injured birds. I'm sure Barbie would appreciate this organization. https://www.salthaven.org/salthaven-west Barbie's sister Cathie

Barb will forever be in my heart. She blessed my children with wonderful care at her daycare in Regina so many years ago. Now my children are grown and they remember her so warmly, as she did not just care for them, but loved them. We became good friends, but lost touch until she found me again last year. Pete and I enjoyed our visits with her and Lyle. My heart is missing her, but I know we will laugh again together in heaven. Until then, my dear friend, until then....

To Lyle, Amanda, Jared, Jonathon, Lachlan and extended family. Wishing you peace, comfort, courage, and lots of love at this time of sorrow. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time. Wishing you the best and know you have my full support in every moment. I am thinking of you and your family and sending caring thoughts your way to support you through this. Barb was a loving, kind and intelligent person. We had many good times together and we shared our love for horses. We rode horses together and had lots of good conversations. We helped each other when in need. So many fond memories. We shared a very Special bond like sisters do. I’m so very thankful that she was in my life. I miss you Barb “My Petunia” and always will. We will meet again and we will ride together once again. I love you sis. Rest In Peace
