So sad to hear that Riek has passed away.
Although I was very young when she moved to Canada and therefore did not know her well, seeing the photos at the memorial service brought back some memories. Hearing the beautiful stories shared, it was clear that she was deeply loved and will be missed. My condolences go out to Leen, Jai, Tamara and their families.
We were very sad to hear of the passing of Rika. She holds a special place in our hearts and her memory will always be cherished. One of our most treasured moments is the time she spent caring for our first son. Her nurturing presence and genuine affection provided us with peace of mind knowing that our son, Mitchell was in good hands. Rika and Lee created a loving and nurturing environment filled with laughter and countless precious moments.
Rika had the ability to make everyone feel welcomed and cared for. She has left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Our thoughts are with Lee, Jai, Tamara and their families during this time of loss. May you all find comfort in the memories that you shared and the love that surrounds you.

Janet (McKellar) Louis, Shawn Louis and Shirley McKellar send love, condolences along with prayers of comfort to Lee, Jai, Tamara and their families. So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. She was a good friend for many years. We laughed, prayed and cried together. She was so loving and giving of her time to myself and children during my working years while the girls were young. Crystal took her first steps there, and Miena was included after school like one of her own. She gifted me with handiwork she'd made, and fed us her amazing meals. We had many good times over at the Semchuks, and built many memories for our families together. She will be greatly missed by all those left behind who love her; but, we also know she will enjoy her everlasting reward in Glory!
We so loved Rika, a joy to be near. She was very insistant on being positive in whatever group she was found to be with. Yes, she had her struggles, but, we should all be so blessed as to be as gracious as she is - yes, she has just transferred addresses...HEAVEN has that sweet woman and we WILL see her again. Thank You Jesus for allowing us to have had precious time with Rika.

Our deepest condolences Lee, Jai, Tamara, and family. I was blessed to have her as an adopted auntie. She had the best big hugs. I remember visiting her as a teenager and her teaching us how to jive. I know she is dancing with Jesus in heaven today. Love and prayers from Bo and Miena Friggstad.
