Blair passed away peacefully on Monday, February 5, 2024 at the age of 78 years. He was predeceased by his parents Andrew and Mary Carrier; siblings Warren and Sharon.

Blair is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Pauline; children Michael, William (Tanya), Andrew (Corleen), Cameron (Tamara) and Aaron Morin; grandchildren Gary Merasty, Risa (Matthew) Naytowhow, Jordan Kinequon, Zachary Carrier, Megan Carrier, Cierra Montour and Alleria Carrier; great grandchildren Oliver, Emre, Clementine and many others; siblings Maxine, Victoria, Monte (Carol) and Miles (Danielle), as well as numerous relatives and friends.

Blair Carrier was a strong believer in keeping the cree culture, language and traditions alive. He was a strong storyteller and was always willing to share wisdom and guidance to those who needed it. He always used his voice to advocate and speak the truth. His presence was always grounded in honesty, dedication and perseverance. His stories, humour, love and sacred teachings will live on through his family, friends and community.

Wake will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Piapot Band Hall, Piapot First Nation, SK. Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, 2024 at the same location with Elders officiating. Interment will follow at Piapot Main Cemetery, Piapot First Nation.
