Elaine Rose Caminghay

“Blue Thunderbird”

September 27, 1956 – January 31, 2024

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our mommy, mother, granny, sister, auntie, and cousin, Elaine Rose Caminghay “Blue Thunderbird” who was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and the Creator on Wednesday, January 31, 2024.

Elaine was predeceased by her husband, Peter Turchak; parents Joseph and Agnes Caminghay; sister June Hodge; brother Raymond Caminghay; grandmother Nancy Ewack; father and mother-in-law William and Mary Turchak; brother-in-law Richard Turchak; nieces Anita and Jenna Smoke; and nephew Darren Forsythe; as well as other extended family.

Elaine will be sadly missed by daughter Tammy (Rick) and their children Justin, Kyle, and Eric Baumgartner; daughter Amanda (Chad) and their children Rhiannon (Mathieu) and Zavier Turchak Grimson; sisters Irene (Walter) Spiess  and family, Pat Ewack (Ken Goudy predeceased) and family and Veronica (Michael) and family; brothers-in-law Bill (Bri) and David Turchak; special friends Thong Nguyen and John Akan. She is also survived by June’s family as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and family.

Elaine’s smile, laughter, sense of humor, faith, love of music, and her talent for her artwork will be dearly missed! She always helped her loved ones to see the light, and that tomorrow is another day to try again!
