Joyce, our condolences go to you your family. Earl was a wonderful person, and I’m so glad that I had the pleasure of working with him at motorways. I started with them on October 11, 1967 and on January 12, 1972 Earl started as well. I still have the employee list so that’s how I know.
I remember that he had worked at the Treanon as a bouncer.
I can still remember bugging him and he walked up to me with his big solid chest, and then threw me a big smile. All I can say is that the Treanon hired the right guy.
Joyce in 1973 Louise and I moved into a new house and you got us a great deal on an Inglis stove and fridge. It’s funny how a person remembers certain moments.
Best wishes to you and your family.
Oh and the picture that I included, that’s me sitting beside Earl

Joyce & family sincere condolences in the loss of Earl, husband, father, and grandfather. A friend we’ve known through work for so many years at Motorways and kept in contact after Motorways. He was always so jovial.
Condolences from Ray & Johanna Friedt

I would like to express my sympathies and condolences to the Hofley families. I always looked forward to Earls visits to the store, and even moreso when he retired. Every visit was filled with intense laughter, sometimes laughing until we nearly cried! Your Dad was one of a kind....he made many a bad day better with his quick wit, and sharp returns. I will cherish these times forever.....and I will think of him on my next drive...May God bring you peace and strength in the upcoming days.

Dear Joyce and family
Earl and his dad Leo were often over at my mom and dad’s house in the late 50s and 60s. The Tweten garage was a popular Gathering place. I give you my deepest sympathy on behalf of our family. May his soul rest in peace.
