Marian Patricia Volpel

1943 – 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Marian Volpel announce her passing on Monday, April 22, 2024 at the age of 81.

Marian is survived by her husband Donald; son Douglas; daughters Janet and Catherine; grandchildren Ryan and Abbey Roach and Haileigh and Hayden DeGrow; sons-in-law Kelvin DeGrow and Marc Blouin; daughter-in-law Krista; and niece Alkisti Yiannibas.  She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Roach; parents Fred and Kathleen Evans; step-mother Charlotte Evans; step-brother Arthur Evans; and sister Anne Griffith.

Marian was born in Aldershot, England and moved to Canada in 1945. She attended grade school in Regina. Marian also went to Scott Collegiate and Martin Collegiate. She was a stay-at-home mother until she went to work for Sears Canada Mail Orders where she was employed for 25 years. Marian enjoyed gardening, sewing and baseball. She also loved country music.

In lieu of a funeral, a Celebration of Marian’s life will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024 at the Serbian Club, 2775 Avonhurst Drive, Regina, SK. Flowers will be gratefully declined, however donations to the Regina Humane Society in Marian’s memory would be greatly appreciated.
