Obituary of Mary Vogel

Mary Vogel (nee Ceholski) Our dear sweet Mama Bear passed away in the light of a beautiful fall sunrise with her three chickadees by her side on Thursday, September 22, 2016. Mom was born on March 27, 1946 in Munchen Gladbach, Germany and immigrated to Regina with her parents on October 20, 1947. Mary was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Sophie and her brother Steve. Mary will be deeply missed by her children Carla (Quinn), Loressa, and Chris (Kristin) and her grandsons Henry, Avery, Elliott and Simon, her childrens’ father, Al and cousin Larry (Elaine) and his family and extended family members and close friends. Mom will be remembered for her deep and incredible love and pride of her children and grandchildren. She was a selfless woman with a caring heart, big smile, infectious laugh and a “tell it like it is” personality. As a business owner, real estate agent and dedicated volunteer she knew countless people in the community and always made the time to stop and visit. Mary was actively involved the community. She took on leadership roles in the Ukrainian Catholic Women’s League of Canada, Regina Real Estate Association, Regina Multi-Cultural Council, and Parish Councils to name a few. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff of Regina Qu’Appelle Home Health Care, William Booth Special Care Home and Grace Hospice for their loving care of our mom. Memorial Liturgy will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 10:00 am at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto Street, Regina, SK. Fr. Vladimir Simunovic and Fr. Basil Malowany as celebrants. Interment at Riverside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary’s memory to the “Ukrainian Orphanage” care of St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1757 Toronto Street, Regina, SK S4P 1M5. Vichnaya Pam’yat
