Obituary of Jelena Tavania Elizabeth Grover

It is with sadness that the family of Jelena Tavania Elizabeth Grover announce her passing on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 22 years of age. Jelena passed surrounded by her loved ones after a battle with cystic fibrosis and cancer.

Jelena leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Tammy Grover; brother Jaydn Grover, sister, Jenesis Grover; boyfriend, Brighton Callaghan; grandma Marion Grover; aunt Kim Grover; uncle Shayne Desjarlais; great-uncle Georgie; Brighton’s parents Desire and Farley Callaghan; Terry Menezes; pups Bam Bam, Sully and Charlotte; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jelena was predeceased by her great-grandma Elsie Grover; and grandpa Paul Desjarlais.

Jelena was a fun, kind and energetic soul who could be found dancing whenever there was music. She could be seen always cheering for her Edmonton Oilers when they were playing. Jelena loved her pups and would make sure to spend extra time outside with them whenever it was sunny. To relax, she would always curl up with a good novel. Jelena was also an avid shopper, never able to pass up a good deal.

A Celebration of Jelena’s Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Living Springs Church, 2223 Victoria Avenue East, Regina, SK. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Canada, cysticfibrosis.ca.
