Obituary of Edward Massine
Edward is remembered by wife Darlene Massine; daughters, Darla Massine (Lee Flaman) and Janelle Massine (Steve Zasitko); and two adorable granddaughters, Abigail and Hannah Stoppler. Ed is survived by Lillian's children, Jodi (Larry) Berg, Richard Kolter, Stef (Doug) Amlee; and their children and grandchildren. He is also survived by mother-in-law Margaret Rogoschewsky; and Darlenes’ siblings, Fran (Godfrey) Bachman, Judy (Bob) Ziegler, Janet (Doug) Fahlman, Ron (Lorraine) Rogoschewsky, Greg (Louise) Rogoschewsky, Jodi (Curtis) Work; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Ed was predeceased by his father and mother, Val and Albina Massine; sister, Lillian Molloy; and brother-in-law, Bert Molloy.
Ed grew up in the Dilke, SK area. He attended Kenokee and Dilke schools. Ed’s younger years were filled with farming and sports. Many fun times were had while curling and playing baseball. Following his farming years, Ed pursued truck driving, hauling gas, concrete for Conforce and Saskatchewan Department of Highways where he was the happiest operating the snow plow. His next life venture was carpentry and also became Mr. Fix It. Ed’s handywork is proudly showcased in his home, seasonal site at Robertson's Resort and Campground and his daughters homes, as well as many pieces of furniture designed by his wife, Darlene. Ed became a great homemaker following his working years until Darlene's retirement.
A Celebration of Life will held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at St. Cecilia RC Parish Hall, 5020 7th Ave, Regina, SK. Flowers will be gratefully declined. Donations may be made in Ed's name to the St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, Dilke, SK or the charity of your choice.
