Obituary of Delbert Clayton Crowe
With a heavy heart, we announce the unexpected passing of a kind-hearted, gentle and strong man. Delbert was a loving mushum, father, brother, cousin, and friend of many. He has left us at the age of 66 and will be greatly missed.
Delbert leaves behind his sons, John-Christian and Del Martiniuk; daughters, Norma, Erin and Seraphine Crowe; grandchildren, Andrew & Alexander Coliba, Raven Hulleman, Caeden, Blaise, Mekwan & Keesopwayo Pepin, Lillian Delver, Anais Crowe, Isaiah & Mathias Crowe-Paula; great-grandchild Maxwell Laura Pickford; sisters, Wendy Taypotat, Rhonda Landry, Kathleen Crowe and Noela Crowe-Salazar; brothers, Jerry Crowe and Rodney Keewatin; as well as his aunt Erma Crowe and many nieces, nephews, cousins. Delbert was predeceased by his parents, Norma and Noel “Bossy” Crowe; stepmom Kathleen Keewatin; sister, Heather Crowe; and brothers, Raymond, Steven and Norman Crowe.
Dad worked at various jobs throughout his life. The ones he valued most were those that brought him closer to our indigenous community. He was an audio-visual technician, taxi driver, and a community activist.
Dad, you brought so much love into this world. The Creator has now called you to join our ancestors.
A Wake will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 14, 2024 at Piapot Band Hall, Piapot First Nation, Saskatchewan. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 16, 2024 at the same location.
