Dianne, what a special friend, always smiling, caring, loving and interested in everyone.
When the Rubidge family came to Strasbourg, they quickly became an important part of our community. They opened their business, built their home, helping at the rink, golf course and the United Church.
Kelly and Kevin were in hockey and Cubs together. Getting their dads involved in coaching and leaders in Cubs. They spent lots of good times together Dirt Biking in the Hills.
Tammy, Teresa, and Karen played together, were in dance and baton together. Dianne and I were with them at their competitions in Winnipeg, Calgary, Regina, and Moose Jaw. What great fun we had.
We were always happy when the Rubidges join us at Cree lake for a wonderful time of fishing, Kevin's birthday and of course Fireworks.
After the girls were married, they all had baby girls born the same year within a month of each other. Casandra, Shae Lynne, & Whitney.
Even after our families grew up, we still hung out together. The four of us would have a date night once a week. We would go to the city have a nice meal and then we went to a country Music Dance lesson. Then of course we have to get together through the week and practice what we learn. At the time Kelly was in a Country Western Band so it was a great excuse to go and listen and practice our dance moves. We had so much fun together.
Dianne was a part of our daily coffee gathering usually morning and afternoon. Everyone was welcome. Dianne always had a smile and was always a special caring kind person always interested in what each of us were busy with. After they moved to the city, we all missed that smile and Dianne.
Through the years there was a group of us, Audrey Hall, Doris Dosch, Darlene Coupal, Marie Zosel, and myself Margot Biller . In the summer we made a once-a-year day trip to Moose Jaw. Shopping, exploring, laughing, and of course eating. When our Birthdays rolled around, we always got together and celebrated together. I'm so thankful we got together in May this year to celebrate Doris and Darlene's Birthdays. Thank you Dale for making this happen.
Dianne was so happy to finally get moved into their new Condo in Pilot Butte. Dianne always had good taste and decorated their new home so nicely. I missed Dianne when she went to the city but when we got together we caught up on what our children and each of our grandchildren were doing. Dianne was so proud of each and every one of her children and grandchildren. What a great support Dale has been. You are the most welcoming people I have ever known.
Dear Dianne I truly will miss you but you will always have a special place in my heart for you. Your Birthday is coming up in August. We will be getting together to celebrate Happy Birthday Dianne. Thanks for being such a special Friend. Loved to all your family. We will treasure all those wonderful times we shared.
