Obituary of Margaret May Chamberlain
We are saddened to announce the passing of Margaret May Chamberlain (nee Elder) after a short illness, on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at the age of 91. She is survived by her children, David (Julie) and Wendy (Ken); grandchildren Michael (Kaitlyn), Steven (Lori), Christopher (Andrea), Angel; great-grandchildren Clara, Sara and Wesley; sisters-in-law Peggy and Phyllis; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Only six short months after losing Dad, Mom has gone to join him. Mom was raised in Hartney, MB on the family farm. She moved to Brandon to attend secretarial school, and there she met Howard. They were married and had their family there before following a job to Regina in 1960. Mom was the typical 60's housewife until the early 70's when she joined the work force. After some office work and a stint in selling Real Estate, she joined Dad in retirement and spent many years wintering in Arizona. She was involved with the Scottish Country Dancing, The Sons of Scotland and supporting Dad with his many adventures with the various Pipe Bands he belonged to. Mom always enjoyed being creative. She made crafts, jewelry, painted and had great taste in decorating. She enjoyed watching the Rider games and especially loved the Toronto Blue Jays. Mom made many good friends in her condo community and was looking forward to making new friends at her retirement residence. She was loved by many and will be missed. Rest well, Mom. There will be no funeral service and interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the WaWa Shrine Travel Fund in Margaret's memory.
In Loving Memory
