My sincere condolences to Iris's family. She was so kind to my bridge partner & me when we started playing bridge at the Senior Center. Your Mom & Dad were great hosts & we had so much fun when we visited their home to play cards. Iris was a wonderful lady.
There’s lots I will remember about Auntie. We were there often as kids. She always wore her daisy duke shorts in the summer. Spud nuts, fried chicken like her mother’s and the only place you could have toast as a late night snack as long as I didn’t get peanut butter in the honey. Always played cards or dice or rumoli. When she quit smoking she carried a pack of cigarettes in her purse for a long time incase she ever got the urge to smoke but I don’t think she ever took the plastic off the pack. She was a wonderful woman and I will think of her often.
Deepest sympathy to all of Iris’s family. I worked with Iris in Yellow Grass, and so enjoyed it.
She is at peace now with her Don.
