Obituary of Jolene Marie LaPlante

Jolene Marie LaPlante (Finch)

October 17, 1985 – August 25, 2024

 

It is with profound sadness that the family of Jolene LaPlante announce her passing at the age of 38 years.  Jolene is survived by her three daughters, who she loved so much, Lilian, Maliyah and Taryn; husband Sam Finch; parents Loreena and Shane Spilsted; sisters Caroline Pardy and Valiyah LaPlante; brother Kaidyn Spilsted; father Joe (Liane) Martel; as well as uncles Kevin (Brandee) Potts, Lawrence Potts, and numerous cousins and extended family. 

 

Jolene was a loving and caring young woman who had many hopes and dreams for a bright and happy fulfilling life.  Sadly, struggles with mental health and addiction dimmed these hopes and dreams and ultimately led to an accidental overdose.  She went far too soon but is now at peace and in a better place.  A place without pain or guilt and has joined family and friends that left us before her, who undoubtedly met her with open arms.  

 

Jolene, our hearts are broken, and you will be forever missed and loved.

 

Our families want to thank everyone who has expressed love and compassion in so many ways to help comfort us during this difficult time.  A Celebration of Life with family and friends with Jolene fully in mind and spirit will occur at a future date.
