In Loving Memory of Barbara Didow-Stankov (née Martens), born May 2, 1946. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Barb passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. She is survived by her loving husband Ron; daughters Nadine Chabot and her husband Rod, Amber Didow and her partner Jim, Lisa Gould and her husband Brian; and son Scott Stankov and wife Kara. Barb is also survived by her grandchildren Adam, Christopher, Spencer, Hanna, Kurtis, and Kaitlin; as well as seven great-grandchildren; sister Elizabeth Koski (Alan); brothers Ed Martens (Angie) and Gord Martens (Emily) and their families; along with many beloved friends. Barb has crossed to meet her loved ones, including her late husband William Robert Didow, her parents, brother, sister, and other family and lifelong friends who welcome her. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for her outgoing personality and many talents, including sewing, cooking, painting, gardening, and Scottish Country dancing. A private service will be held for immediate family. In lieu of gifts, donations in Barb's memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, kidney.ca.
