Obituary of Edwin Ross Cooper
With profound sadness, the family of Edwin Ross Cooper announces his passing on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the age of 95, with family by his side. Ed was born on May 27, 1929, and moved to the Craven district at the age of 12. He lived and farmed there his entire life. Ed will be remembered for his quick wit and love of family.
Ed enjoyed being a dad and was always interested in the activities of his grandchildren. Grandpa could always be counted on for a few candies hidden somewhere or a sip of his pop.
Ed is survived by his devoted wife of 68 years, Blanche; children Barbara (Colin), Lynn, Brian (Darcie), Maureen (Jeff) and Laurel (Fraser); grandchildren Adam, Cali (Tyler), Jenna (Jeff), Erin (Alex), Kelsey, Eric (Alexa), Nathan, Ava and Ace; great-grandchildren Warren, Sawyer and Hayley; as well as his sister Margaret Hetherington; and sister-in-law Beth Hall.
A Private Graveside Service will be held to honour Ed. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Ed’s memory may be made to the St Nicholas Kennell Anglican Church c/o Trent Catley, RR #2 Craven, SK, S0G 0W0, or to the charity of your choice.
In Loving Memory
