Obituary of Jeremy Richard Puharski

Puharski, Jeremy Richard It is with great sorrow that we share the news that Jeremy passed away peacefully in Regina, SK at Wascana Rehabilitation Centre surrounded by his family on October 21, 2016 at the age of 37. Jeremy was born August 21, 1979 in Victoria, B.C. He moved with his family at the age of 1 to Welland, ON. He spent his childhood and school years in Welland. Jeremy moved to Regina and spent the last 14 years of his life at Wascana Rehab. Jeremy is pre-deceased by his Baba and Dido, Elsie and Peter Puharski; Uncles Raymond Michael Puharski, John Mogentale and Orest Tokar; Step-Dad Neil Schryer; Great Aunts Sister Anne Murtagh, Marika Sheptenko, Gisella Ackermann, Barbara Puricz and Annie Huges and Pepere Nelson Schryer. He is survived by his loving mother Maureen Mogentale; father Joseph Ronald Puharski and wonderful and dedicated sister Samantha Schryer; Grandparents Luis and Priscilla Mogentale; Memere Lillian Klomp and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Despite Jeremy's struggles and health issues, Jeremy had a wonderful sense of humour and always looked at the bright side of life. Jeremy spent his time at Wascana hanging out with the staff and listening to absolutely everything that went on, going to church, drinking his favourite beverage, coffee, and listening to country music. Jeremy extremely enjoyed visits from everyone, especially his mom, sister and grandparents. The staff and volunteers at Wascana got to know Jeremy very well over the past 14 years and they took excellent care of him, loved him and formed special bonds with him during this time. The family's gratitude to these wonderful people is immense. Words cannot express how thankful we are for your wonderful care of our Jeremy. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Wascana Rehabilitation Center Chapel. 2180 23rd Ave., Regina SK. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Jeremy's memory to Camp Easterseal. Interment of cremated remains will be at a later date.
